Mrs. Marjorie M. Lane

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mrs. Marjorie Lane, age 87, who passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at her daughter Jo Morse’s residence in Richmond Hill. She was a resident of Baxley for the past thirty-two years and a member of Midway Baptist Church.

In an amazing display of His love and mercy, God is pleased to make us all His children.

Led by the spirit, Marjorie was a true and faithful child of God and lived a righteous life. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served the Lord with an open heart and arms. She moved through life with the guidance of God, which was always evident in her beautiful smile, gentle words, and warm hugs.

Marjorie was a woman of many strengths, abilities, and talents. She was the matriarch of our family and loved each of us in her special way, and with all her heart. She was dedicated in her role of wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting the needs of others before her own.

To know Marjorie was to know the true spirit and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We will hold our love and memories of our precious mother, now an angel in heaven, in our hearts forevermore.

Mrs. Lane is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lane; and her mother, Honor Mae Hutto.

Surviving is her five children, Leslie Lane (Cathy), Laura Darnall (DeWain), Harriet O’Rourke (John), Jo Morse (Robert) and Karen May (James); thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Midway Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Williamson and Reverend Benji McReady officiating.

Mrs. Lane will lie in state one hour prior to the service at Midway Baptist Church.
